Post procedure Skin appearance

Top of the Line

Immediately after the procedure, the tissue may be slightly swollen, tender or red. For most, this will completely fade overnight or within 24 hours with a healthy glow in the morning. For others, very tiny little scabs may occur and fade away with subtle light skin peeling within 2-4 days.

Aftercare

The Difference that only you can do!

Recommendations:

  • Do not wash or wet for 12h

  • Do not drink orange juice or acid food for 2-3 days

  • Do not exfoliating agents such as scrubs or AHAs (glycolic acid) for 3-5 days.

  • Use mild cleanser and moisturiser for 5-7 days.

  • Sun Block with an SPF of 50+ is advised at all times

  • Avoid makeup application overnight. If you use makeup on broken skin, the risk of bacteria entering the procedure area, as well as the makeup filtering its way into the open tissue, can be detrimental by causing darker pigmentation and infection.

  • After the skin has healed, the use of AHA’s will help to keep the top layer of skin softened and sloughed off resulting in younger looking skin.

  • Using topical Vitamin C, A or E and Collagen producing products will help the glow of the skin after 5 days only.

FOLLOW UP TREATMENTS

The number of repeat treatments will vary considerably according to the initial existing condition of the skin and desired results. This will be discussed case-by-case at your initial consultation.

The procedure can be repeated at 4-8 weeks intervals allowing the skin natural collagen and elastin to rejuvenate.
